چکیده
In this work, a generalized study of the conditions for appearance limit cycle oscillations induced by any kind sampler with multilevel fixed thresholds is presented. These kinds samplers, which will be referred to as Fixed Threshold Samplers (FTS), are characterized series parameters, which, when selected properly, allow obtaining some most used forms quantization in Event-Based Control (EBC). Because characteristics, obtained can present bias, therefore, characterize them Dual Input Describing Function (DIDF) method used. The DIDF analyzed revealing interesting properties allowing simplify robustness analysis. analysis takes into account effect disturbance and reference signal influence on system, generally overlooked DF Guidelines about how perform given, showing their application through cases.

Saturated Tracking Control of Store-Induced Limit Cycle Oscillations
H IGH-PERFORMANCE fighter aircraft experience storeinduced limit cycle oscillations (LCOs) [1], which are characterized by a limited amplitude, antisymmetric motion of thewing and lateral motion of the fuselage and cockpit. The main concern with LCO motion is its negative impact on a pilot’s ability to complete a mission; specifically, the lateral motion of the cockpit causes difficulties when ...
متن کاملLimit Cycle Oscillations of Aircraft due to Flutter-Induced Drag
The present work is a continuation of earlier work by the author on the energetics of flutter. It has been shown in earlier work that the energy for flutter comes from propulsion, i.e., flutter leads to increase in drag and thus the thrust has to be increased in order for the wing to maintain instability. In reality, the thrust is not increased to maintain the speed while the wing goes into flu...
متن کاملEnergy Conservative Limit Cycle Oscillations
This paper shows how globally attractive limit cycle oscillations can be induced in a system with a nonlinear feedback element. Based on the same principle as the Van der Pol oscillator, the feedback behaves as a negative damping for low velocities but as an ordinary damper for high velocities. This nonlinear damper can be physically implemented with a continuous variable transmission and a spr...
متن کاملLimit Cycle Oscillations of a Complete Aircraft
This paper presents results for the aeroelastic stability and LCO behavior for a complete aircraft. Comparison are presented between the results predicted by a cantilevered wing model, an untrimmed aircraft model (no gravity or drag) and a trimmed aircraft model. It is seen that the stability behavior is predicted accurately only if the correct trim loads are applied to the wing. The LCO behavi...
متن کاملSensitivity analysis of limit cycle oscillations
Many unsteady problems equilibrate to periodic behavior. For these problems the sensitivity of periodic outputs to system parameters are often desired, and must be estimated from a finite time or frequency domain calculation. Sensitivities computed in the time domain over a finite time span can take excessive time to converge, or fail altogether to converge to the periodic value. We derive a th...
